If you are a fan of izakayas in Seoul, you're probably familiar with 유다 (Yuda), most notably located in 서래마을 (Seorae Maeul or Seorae Village) as well as in Itaewon. I've never been to 유다 (Yuda) despite having passed by it over a dozen times due to it being located right next to 문타로 (Muntaro), which is my favorite izakaya in Seoul. But they recently opened up another store in Bangi-dong which is really close to my house in Jamsil so Christine and I decided to check it out.
I always say this but when there's bar seating available, you gotta sit at the bar (unless you have a large group). You'll soon see why...
유다 (Yuda) means to "soak in." Guess they want the customers to soak in the food.. or the sake.

Not as good as 마리모 (Marimo). It was a bit bland and lacking sweetness.

Wanted to get some Amaebi but they were out. So ordered some Tiger Prawns but definitely not the same.

I wouldn't expect this kind of hospitality on every visit. I think they were overly gracious because they it was their grand opening and wanted to some regulars. All the free food was great but the quality was just decent and nothing beyond that. But worth coming back for the great service (if they keep it up).
